Chapter 1- Tyson's escape.

Tyson stared out of the wire mesh fence at the tall, lonely mountains which surrounded the prison. He had no right to be in the prison, he was innocent. His crime was getting in Voltaire's way.

Tala had beaten him in the final match of the world championships. Ever since the moment he had stolen his Dragoon the world had gone into total chaos. It was like world war 3, except the whole world was against Voiltaire. He had taken over the entire globe and any person or town that got in his way was destroyed. Robert had found them a safe house in the far east of Russia, in a town called Haborosvk. His own team, The Bladebreakers as well as The White tigers, the All stars and The Majestics had to all cram into this house. It had lots of hidden rooms so they thought theyd be safe.

But Voiltaire tracked them down. He had been looking for Kai. Even though Kai would never help him with his evil doings no matter what he said or did. The Majestics had fought the demolition boys as best they could, but unfortunately they lost. Their bit beasts were taken from them which only helped Voiltaire. Tyson had immediately stood up to them, even though they already had his bit beast. He remembered how his friends had screamed out protests to try and stop him doing it but he hadnt listened to them. If only he had, then the demolition boys wouldnt have overpowered him, they wouldnt have taken him away by force, and he wouldnt be here in this prison for people who had stood in Voiltaires way.

He didnt know exactly where this prison was. It was up in the middle of a cold range of mountains. Voiltaire had made sure to put Tyson in his most horrible prison, with the highest security. The high fences had barbed wire on top, and if you got too close to them you would be electrocuted. There were guards everywhere, it was impossible to escape. If one of the guards saw you trying to make a break for it then he would shoot you on sight. And if you did get past the guards then you would freeze to death in the mountains.

Tyson put his numb hand into his pocket. He felt his beyblade, at least he had held onto that. But it wasnt much use without its bitbeast. He also felt a photo in his pocket. He took it out and saw him and his friends, smiling and laughing without a care in the world. He wandered where they were now. He felt tears in his eyes, he missed his friends so much. He longed to see them again. He knew that if they were all together, everything would be all right again. He stared once more out at the dark, snow covered mountains. He just had to find his friends again. He had to escape from this prison and find them. No matter what it took, no matter how far hed have to walk, no matter how many guards he had to get past, he would escape from this prison and find his friends again.

He shivered from the cold so he got up and went back inside the small wooden hut for Japanese prisoners. It wasnt much warmer in there either. Tyson sat down in a corner. He grabbed a blanket and wrapped it round his frozen body. Outside the snow fell heavily. All the other prisoners went to sleep but Tyson stayed awake, plotting out his escape plan.

Tyson became very ill in the winter. There were no proper doctors at the prison so Tyson lay on the cold stone floor, day in day out, wrapped in thin blankets. There was no way he would be able to escape in this condition. But Tyson didnt mind, it just gave him plenty of time to figure out the perfect escape.

Tyson wasnt well enough to carry out his plan until late March. It was still bitterly cold, but it was like this all year long. Tyson had his master plan all figured out. He had repeated it countless times in his head. A part of him was scared, if his plan didnt succeed then he would die. But the other half of him felt brave, he would have to take risks to find his friends. Besides, dying was better then staying here. His braver side won so he carried out the first part of his plan, getting in the cooler.

The cooler was a building built for prisoners to cool off. It contained about 5 small cells where misbehaving prisoners were put as a punishment. It was colder in there then any other place in the prison. If you were left in there for more then a couple of days then you would freeze to death. To be put in the cooler all you had to do was be cheeky to a guard or take a step out of line.

At morning roll call Tyson threw a small, sharp rock at one of the guards. It hit him on the back of the neck and Tyson was instantly put in the cooler. Then he had to wait till evening for the next part of his plan.

The cell had a sturdy wooden door with a small iron door at the bottom where a guard would put in food twice a day. Tyson waited till he heard the sound of the guard entering the building to give the prisoners food. He heard the guards footsteps as he paced along the corridor towards his cell. Tyson had to act quickly. He got his beyblade and launcher out of his pocket. The guard opened his iron door and looked in to check he was still there. Thats when Tyson launched his beyblade, it hit the guard straight on the forehead and he passed out on the floor. Tyson quickly went over to the small door and grabbed the guards keys.

Five minutes later he was standing outside the door of the cell wearing the guards uniform (and as weve all learnt from action films, if you knock out a guy and steal his uniform then it will ALWAYS fit!) The uniform was warm and the hood covered his face so no one would be able to tell it was him. He locked the guard in the cell and walked out of the cooler. Tyson had figured out that the only way to get out of the prison was to be a guard, and that was what he was doing! He stood in line with the other guards as they were dismissed. Tyson followed the other guards out of the gates. He was free, he was finally free!!!

He followed the other guards down the mountain towards a small village at the bottom of the slope. Most of the guards went into a pub but Tyson walked on. He knew that he had to get as far away from the village as possible before anyone discovered that he was missing.

He walked all the way down to a road at the bottom of the valley, the road out of the village. He started making his way along the long, dark road. He was actually doing it, he had actually escaped! He looked up at the stars and thought of his friends. Hed be back with them soon.

Soon was hardly the word for it. It took Tyson almost 8 months to walk back to Haborosvk! (Russia is a VERY big country!) When he got there he found the town was destroyed, as Voltaire had left a lot of towns. Only a few buildings were left standing. As Tyson wandered through the streets he saw homeless people stare at him from the piles of rubble. People had made homes in the rubble, Tyson even saw an opening to a bombed cellar that had curtains outside it!

Tyson couldnt have been more exited about seeing his friends again. He remembered the address but the streets had all been destroyed, making it hard to find one single house. It took Tyson a few days to find the house. He found the street and remembered it. It was the street where he had taken on the demolition boys before they took him away. He ran down the street towards the house, then stopped. In front of him was the house he and his friends had hidden in. It was totally destroyed. There wasnt a single person in sight.
