The bladebreakers were singing louder then anyone in the room, because they were the champions. They had just won the world beyblading championships and were having a victory party in their honour. They had invited the White tigers, Majestics, All starz, Mr D, Jazzman (he was the DJ!) as well as all their families and various other friends and characters.
"We are the champions

'Cause we are the champions of the World!"
They were enjoying the moment. Soon they would all be going their separate ways to kick back and relax at their homes. The next world championships weren't for another 2 years, it would be a while before the team got back together again.
Ray: "I'm gonna miss you guys, and hanging out with the team."
Max: "Yeah, I've had the best time since... well ever!"
Kenny: "But I'm sure we'll remain friends until the next world tournament. Don't you think so Kai?"
Kai just smiled. He'd never admit it but his friends meant more to him then anything. It had taken him quite some time to realise what great friends he had.
Tyson: "Don't worry guys, we'll all keep in touch with each other. I bet this is just the beginning of the bladebreaker's adventures!"
Little did he know how incredibly right he was.
2 months later:
Andrew: "Hey Tyson. What's up?"
Tyson: "Not much guys. Hey, I got a letter this morning that I haven't opened yet. I'll just open it now for no apparent reason."
Dizzi: "Chief, you've got one new e-mail."
Kenny: "Great, open it up Dizzi."
A few minuets later:
Kenny & Tyson: "What, no way! Huh? How'd we do that? We both said that at exactly the same time. We did it again! Hmm............... Chocolate covered pickled marshmallow eggs. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Anyway, what does you letter/e-mail say? Wow! This is awesome!"
Meanwhile, at Kai's mansion:
Butler: "You've got a letter Master Kai."
Kai: "It'd better not be my grandfather asking me to bail him out again. I told him once, I told him a thousand times, I won't do it!" Reads the letter. "Hmmm interesting. Bring me the phone!"
Meanwhile, somewhere in California:
Max was sitting in the swimming pool at his mother's house. He is in an inflatable ring with several cans of soda and an empty coconut shell.
Max (singing): "You put da soda in da coconut
and drink it all up.
You put da soda in da coconut
And you throw da can away."
He threw the can over his shoulder. It hit his father on the head.
"Maaax!"
"And you throw da can away!"
'Clunk'
"I said, Maaaax!"
"And you throw da can away..."
Max realised he had no cans left
Max (Calling) "Mom! Me need more soda!"
Judy (calling from house) "We're all out of soda Max. How about some healthy fruit punch instead?"
Max: "Don't toy with me woman!"
Judy walked out to the side of the pool.
Judy: "Well anyway Maxy, you've got a letter."
Max disappeared underneath the water and resurfaced a few seconds later by the side of the pool. He climbed out and took the letter. He read it with some difficulty, he was dripping on it.
Max: "OH MY GOD! THIS IS SOOOOO AWESOME!!!" He fell backwards into the pool.
Meanwhile, in a small village in China:
Ray woke up to a whirring sound outside. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and walked out. The rest of the White tigers were already out there. They were watching a small plane take off. He walked over to them.
Ray: "That looked like the plane that delivers the mail."
Kevin: "Yep, it was."
Mariah: "You've got a tonne of new mail Ray, probably from all your team mates again. But I don't know who this one's from."
Ray read the mystery letter first.
Ray: "Wow! You guys, you'll never believe this!"
Lee: "What is it Ray?"
Ray: "According to this I've been accepted at the International Beyblade academy in New York! I've got a free scholarship because my team won the last world tournament."
Mariah: "Wow! That is so exiting Ray! I'm so glad for you!"
Lee: "A school where you learn all about beybladeing? Sounds awesome."
Gary: "New York city. I've heard there are really big apples there. Mmmmmmm, apples!"
Ray: "No Gary, it's just known as the big apple cos it's really big."
Gary: "You sure? Aw nuts!"
Ray: "But there is really tasty apple pie."
Gary: "Mmmmmmmmm, apple pie!" (Homer simpson style drooling)
Kevin: "It would be so cool if we could go with you Ray."
Mariah: "But we can't. It's way too expensive. Ray's just lucky he got a free scholarship."
Ray: "Yeah, they'd let you guys in no sweat. You were runners up in the Asian tournament."
Lee: "You know, we could really use someone to just walk into the room right now and say...."
Elder: "Guess what kids, I've just made a bundle of money playing the stock market! Now I just need something to invest it in..."
The five Asian children looked at each other, and smiled evilly.
A few weeks later:
Lee: "Kevin, where are Ray and Mariah? We'll be docking soon."
Kevin: "Go look for yourself!"
Ray and Mariah were at the front of the ship, performing a popular scene from Titanic.
Mariah: "Is that it Ray? The famous statue of liberty I've heard so much about?"
Ray: "That's her. We're there guys!"
They stared in awe of the great statue that stood for liberty, freedom and opportunity (no I'm not American. But I think that's what the statue of liberty stands for.)
Gary: "Wow, it's like she's the cherry on top of the whole country!"
Kevin: "I've never been to America before Ray. What's it like?"
Ray: "It's just great! Burger bars, Coca cola, baseball. You guys will love it!"
The boat had now passed the statue. They could see the magnificent New York sky scrapers.
Lee: "It looks a lot like Hong Kong."
Ray: "They are kinda the same."
They had finally docked and were off the boat.
Ray: "Hey, look who's here for our welcome party!" The bladebreakers were all running towards them.
Tyson: "Ray! It's so great to see ya buddy!"
They all did the usual manly hugs and high fives.
Tyson: "It's great that you guys could come too!"
Lee: "We wouldn't miss an opportunity like this for the world."
Max: "Just wait till you see American TV!"
Mr D: "I'm glad you and your friends could make it Ray."
Ray: "Thanks for getting us the scholarships Mr D."
Mr D: "Not a problem. By the way, let me introduce you to someone." He moved aside to reveal a dark blonde girl who looked about 13 years old. She was wearing navy jogging bottoms with blue stripes going up them. She had a white long sleeved T-shirt with a little picture of a horse on it. She wore a silver Christian cross necklace with little black jewels round her neck. Her hair was loose and wavy, with wavy curls at the end.
Mr D: "This is Jessica, a very skilled British beyblader. I thought she could be the new member of the bladebreakers."
(Yes, she is me. If you don't like that then tough. Use your imaginations!")
Ray: "That's great. Having a new member on the team could really give us a boost."
Jessica: "It's nice to meet you Ray. The others said you were a very nice guy and a great blader."
Mariah: "Listen up doll face, Ray's my guy so stop hitting on him!"
Jess: "I'm not trying to hit on him. I already have a boyfriend. I guess I'm just naturally nice to everyone."
Kenny: "And her dad's a scientist!"
Kai: "What's that got to do with anything?"
Kenny: "Just thought I'd bring it up."
Mariah: "Well, I guess I'm glad to meet you then. I'm Mariah. It's great you've got a new team mate Ray, the bladebreakers really needed a hip female influence!"
Mr D: "I think we've had enough chit chat. Let's get the subway to where you'll all be living for the next 4 years (or so)."
Everyone is now on the subway.
Max: "Where exactly are we gonna live Mr D?" (Note: Throughout this whole fic he's gonna be revered to as 'Mr D')
Mr D: "The Majestics helped me out with this one. They found a house for all of you, and the All-starz as well, to live in."
Max: "The All-starz are going to Beyblade academy as well?"
Mr D: "That's right."
Tyson: "And we're all gonna be living together in the same house?"
Mr D: "That's right, Tyson."
Tyson: "Sweet! This'll be soooooooo much fun!"
Jess: "I moved into the house 3 days ago and I still haven't unpacked. You guys will love it."
Kai: "What about the Majestics?"
Jess: "Those guys are going to beyblade acadamy as well, but they're not living in the same house as us. They've all got their own mansions in the city."
Kevin: "Guys."
All: "What?"
Kevin: "Gary's stuck in the door again!"
All: "Not again!!"
Ray: "Is that central park?"
Jess: "That's it. We're almost there."
Tyson: "Finally. My feet are killing me!"
Lee: "We only got off the subway 5 minuets ago."
Tyson: "Who's the wise guy who made this city so big?" (shakes fist at Jess), "Was it you?"
Jess: "For the last time, NO!"
Mr D: "We're here kids."
All: "Wow!!!"
OK, here's the description of the house: Remember that pop band called the All stars that were fairly popular last year? They've kinda been forgotten but I still have their album. Well, remember there used to be a TV show staring them called 'Star street'? I don't know if it was shown in America but it was defiantly shown over here. Well, they lived in this big, crazy house with lots of weird modern gadgets and gizmos and candy machines everywhere. And they had these neighbours that were complaining about them. Well, the house our heroes are looking at now is just like that house. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, and you probably do, then just picture a big, crazy, ultramodern house. And like I said, use your imaginations!
Max: "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii mom!" (Judy's standing outside). Max ran up to her and hugged her (As only he can, bless!)
Max: "Mom, have you met Jess? She's the new member of our team."
Judy: "Nice to meet you. It's about time Max, your team really needed a hip, female influence."
Tyson: "WHY DOES EVERYONE SEEM TO KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS EXCEPT ME?!?!?!?!?!"
Kai: "Because you're Tyson, it's just natural."
Mariah: "Let's go inside."
The inside of the house was even better then the outside. I won't go in to the whole description, it would take too long and I'm going out for a meal tonight, but it was pretty awesome! Everyone dumped their luggage in the hallway and walked into the living room.
"Hi ya guys!" The all-starz and Majestics are all sitting there.
Tyson: "Hi! It's great to see all you guys again!"
Jess: "Great, everyone's here now." She (I?) walked over to Oliver and the 2 shared a passionate kiss. "Oh, he's my boyfriend! I don't just do this to everyone."
Enrique: "Hey, you can kiss me all you like baby!"
Jess: (Smiles evilly) "OK Enrique, just close your eyes." She took a furry, black and white hamster out of it's cage and held it up to Enrique's lips.
Enrique: "AHHHHHHHH! THE HAMSTER BIT MY LIP! AHHHHHHH!"
Johnny: "I will never get tired of watching him do that."
Jess: "Anyway, this is my pet hamster Mischeif. I brought him with me cos he's kinda like my best friend. I also brought my dog."
A Dalmatian dog and a collie walked into the room. The collie walked over to Steve while the Dalmatian barked at the newcomers and sniffed at their, you know what areas, her tail wagging wildly.
Jess: "Her name's Brier. She's deaf but still really friendly. Just don't leave food lying around or she'll grab it off you."
Kenny: "No different from Tyson then!"
Steve: "And this here is my dog, Oscar."
Ray: "Did anyone else bring their pets with them?"
Kenny: "Do bitbeasts in laptops count?"
Ray: "No."
Max: "I did!" He pulled a turtle out of his hair. "His name's Draciel."
Emily: "He can live in the pond in the backyard."
Max: "Great."
Tyson: "I brought my pet too!" He pulled a grass snake out of his hair, "His name's Superdude!"
Oliver: "Why'd ya give him a name like Superdude?"
Kai: "This is Tyson we're talking about."
Tyson: "Exactly! I get paid to be an idiot!"
Mariah: "Really?"
Tyson: "Well, in ice cream."
Kevin: "I was going to bring my laughing monkey but Lee wouldn't let me. He realesed it into the wild instead."
Lee: "Yes..............wild..........." (shifty eyes).
Mr D: "Well, I'd better get going now. I'll leave you kids to get used to your new style of living."
Max: "You're not leaving already are ya Mom?"
Judy: "I'll come by and visit you tomorrow Maxy."
Max: "Really?"
Judy: "Yes, didn't I tell you? I've been transferred to Project power beyblade's New York office."
Max: "Meaning?"
Judy: "I'm now living in the city. Just a 20 minute subway ride from here!"
Max: "Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Jess: (Whispering) "How come he's hit puberty but he still has a good relationship with his mother?"
Kenny: "This is anime! It's all twisted and weird."
Kai: "Tell me about it!"
Judy , Mr D and the Majestics leave.
Tyson: "My senses tell me it's almost dinner time!"
Kenny: "Hold on, we'd better figure out where everyone will be sleeping and unpack first."
They all went upstairs to where the bedrooms were. Ray and Lee had to share a room and so did Tyson and Max, and Jess and Mariah. Everyone else had their own bedrooms.
Jess: "Hey Mariah, have you seen the view from this room?"
Mariah joined her new room mate at the window.
Jess: "We've got a great view of Central park, it's just across the street from us. What luck!"
Mariah: "I'm worried I won't fit in in New York, Jess. It's the first time I've even been to America!"
Jess: "Don't worry, It's my first time in New york as well. I'm sure we'll all soon get used to it. Tell you what, tomorrow all of us will go for a tour of the city. How's that sound?"
Mariah: "That sounds like fun!"
Jess: "Great. Now, should I keep the kareoke machine up here or take it downstairs?"
So the next day, after a traditional American breakfast of pancakes, waffles and ice cream sandwiches with coke, everyone went out on a sightseeing tour of New York city.
First, they took a ferry ride to see the statue of Liberty, then a bit of shopping on fifth avenue (the boys had to drag the girls away!). Then the site where ground zero is, and eventually after seeing many other sites everyone went to the top of the Empire state building
Jess: "Wow, this truly is the Empire state!"
Finally the party of bladers got on the subway to go home. But they stopped in Central park for a game of baseball, which Michael taught them all to play. Everyone felt so happy and carefree
By the end of the day even Kai knew that together they would do just fine.
